Reaching those on the
outside of hope looking in...
We believe that our lives are not about us. At The Journey, we encourage every person to make a spiritual impact on the lives of others. Sharing the gospel and serving others is an emphasis in our worship gatherings, our discipleship groups, and our homes. Our primary target area of focus for local missions is the Highland area of Spartanburg.
These are some of the ways our members serve Christ
and make a spiritual impact on others...
Mentoring and sponsoring people; leading recovery meetings; volunteering at community events; providing help to low-income families; working in children's camps; partnering with various outreach ministries; leading chapel services at Miracle Hill Mission; supporting our adopted missionaries around the world; financially supporting local and foreign missions efforts...and so much more!
Presently, The Journey has two "adopted" missionaries.
One is working with students in East Asia.
One is working with students in Costa Rica.
The Journey is also committed to caring for
orphans around the world.
Our primary means of doing that is through
on-going support of the Rice Bowls organization.
