Don't just go to church. Be the church.

We believe that our lives are not about us.  We have not been saved to sit, but to serve. It is important that we not merely come to church, but that we be the church.

Personally, we encourage each person to be the church and seek to influence others spiritually wherever they live, work, and play.  Together, as a church family, we work together to minister in some of our city's toughest areas. Below are just a few of the ways you can serve:

  • Learn to lead a discipleship group
  • Volunteer with our JourneyKidz ministry
  • Serve as a driver to help bring people to weekend services and special events
  • Serve with our First Impressions Ministry (greeter, setup, cleanup, building maintenance/repair)
  • Put musical gifts to use with our worship team ministry (vocalists, instrumentalists, A/V assistance, creative design
  • Give to support the many on-going efforts to love our city to life in Christ.

If you don't attend The Journey but still want to serve our community alongside us, consider getting involved in the following areas:

  • Volunteering once a month with Sunday children's ministry
  • Volunteer as a driver to help transport people to services once a month
  • Volunteer to be a part of our small group teen ministry network
  • Get connected with the Come Closer city movement and help meet city-wide needs
  • Give to support the many on-going efforts to love our city to life in Christ.
