But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect...
— 1 Corinthians 15:10

People can change because God can change people. God promises it. We have witnessed it. And many of us have experienced it. For that reason, we believe there is hope in Christ for all, no matter who you are, where you come from, what you’ve done, or the circumstances you’re in today.

The Journey is committed to reaching those on the outside of hope looking in and helping them discover a new life in Christ. Here are some ways that we…AND YOU…can seek to do that:

LOCAL MINISTRY

  • Gatherings on Sundays are designed to connect with people in an effort to connect them with Jesus.

  • Starting Over Ministry is a discipleship process specifically designed to help people build a new life in Jesus.

  • Grow Groups exist to help people grow in their relationship with God and other Christians.

  • We work with community partners to assist in meeting physical and emergency needs - shelter, food, transitional housing, etc…

  • We lead chapels and provide discipleship opportunities for those in local shelters.

  • We minister to children in inner city apartment complexes.

  • We provide discipleship materials and minister to inmates in our area.

  • We partner with our Neighborhood Association to impact change in the downtown community.

  • We are part of Come Closer Spartanburg, a partnership effort with many Christians and churches to help address some of the deepest needs in our geography.

GLOBAL MINISTRY

  • We provide meals and godly care for orphans in 7 countries in partnership with Rice Bowls.

  • We have members who travel overseas on mission to serve those in need, share the gospel, make disciples, and impact cities.
